New Joint Commission Standards – Effective July 1st

In preparation for the new standards set forth by The Joint Commission, AltusLearn would like to remind you that June is MRI Safety Month. The new standards will go into effect on July 1, 2014.

Some changes include:

  • patient radiation dose documentation
  • performance evaluation of diagnostic equipment by physicists
  • hazardous waste handling
  • ongoing safety training
