CE for Specialty: Athletic Training No continuing education is required. However, proof of current CPR certification, AED certification and proof of current NATA-BOC certification is required.
CE for Specialty: Audiology/SLP CE: 20 Contact Hours must be completed every 2 years but licenses are renewed every year. Date of license renewal is based on date of licensee’s specific issued date. The number of continuing education hours required for renewal of a license may be prorated by the board office.  A newly licensed individual or a person who reinstates his or her license and whose next renewal date occurs less than twelve (12) months after the license is issued will be required to earn continuing education hours equivalent to one (1) hour per month each month the license is issued or reinstated to the last day of the renewal month up to a maximum of ten (10) clock hours.
CE for Specialty: Dietetics/Nutrition 15 hours of continuing education are due annually or a current CDR card is required.  Continuing education must be approved by the board.
CE for Specialty: Emergency Medical Services Renewals must be completed by December 31st prior to the expiration date of licensure. CE for Specialty: Laboratory Technology There are no Continuing Education requirements.
CE for Specialty: Massage Therapy CE: 16 Contact Hours must be completed over a two year renewal period. Licenses expire on October 31st; the year of renewal is based upon the year of initial license issuance.
CE for Specialty: Medicine and Surgery CE: 75 hours of continuing medical education are required for all medical licenses during each triennial renewal cycle. CME may be earned at any time during the licensing period, July 1 through June 30 immediately preceding the triennial renewal date. Licenses must be renewed every three years.
CE for Specialty: Occupational Therapy CE Requirements: Occupational Therapists (OT) and Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA) are required to complete 20 hours of continuing education in the year preceding the date the license expires. Licenses for both Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants expire on September 30 of every year.
CE for Specialty: Pharmacy 30 hours of continuing education must be completed every 2 years. 2 hours in Patient Safety and  2 hours of Pharmacy Law: Pharmacists practicing in New Mexico must attend one of the law update programs presented by the Board to fulfill the continuing education requirement for law.  Law programs presented at NMPHA or NMSHP meetings/conventions require registration/fee through those organizations and are ACPE accredited. 10 live hours (excluding the law requirement) required. Home study must be approved by the board or ACPE. Pharmacists with active New Mexico pharmacist licenses practicing solely outside of New Mexico must submit A.C.P.E. approved continuing education credit in pharmacy law for their license renewal. Attending a Board provided law program is not required for out of state pharmacists. ACPE-approved courses for Pharmacy Technicians end in the letter “T”. ACPE-approved courses pharmacists (only) end in the letter “P”.  Courses ending in the letter “P” cannot be used to meet pharmacy technician CE requirements.
CE for Specialty: Pharmacy Technician No continuing education is required.
CE for Specialty: Physical Therapy CE Requirements: 20 clock hours are required per renewal cycle (one clock hour is equal to 60 minutes of instruction time) Continuing education hours must be directly related to respiratory therapy, pulmonary function technology, or related interdisciplinary areas of healthcare.
CE for Specialty: Psychology 40 hours of continuing education must be completed every renewal period. All licensees must complete a minimum of 6 CPE credit hours in cultural diversity. Licenses must be renewed biennially.
CE for Specialty: Radiology Technology CE per license: Radiologist Assistant- 24 hours . Radiography – 24 hours Nuclear Medicine – 24 hours Radiation Therapy- 24 hours Fusion Imaging – 24 hours Limited – 24 hours CEUs must be approved by the RCEEM. Renewal happens every two years.
CE for Specialty: Respiratory Therapy 20 hours of continuing education are due  September 30th of the odd-numbered year. CE must be directly related to respiratory therapy, pulmonary function technology, or related interdisciplinary areas of health care.
CE for Specialty: Social Work Renewal: thirty (30) hours social work continuing education must be completed every two (2) years on June 30. Six (6) hours in the subject area of cultural awareness. The social worker may choose up to ten (10) hours per renewal period which is self-directed.
