CE for Specialty: Audiology/SLP | CE: 20 Contact Hours must be completed each 2 year renewal period. The licensure period shall be construed as July 1st through June 30th with all regular licenses expiring at Midnight on June 30th of even-numbered years. (e.g., June 30th, 2012). |
CE for Specialty: Dietetics/Nutrition | Continuing education required: Regular Licenses: 30 hours Provisional Licenses: 15 hours The licensure term for regular licenses shall be construed as April 1 of even numbered years through March 31 of odd numbered years. CE for Specialty: Occupational Therapy | CE Requirements: Mississippi regulations set the requirement of 20 contact hours (CH) or 2 Continuing Education Unit (CEU) to be accrued during the licensure period. No carryover of continuing education hours from one licensure period to another shall be allowed. At least 30 percent (6 Contact Hours or .6 CEU) of the required continuing education must be directly related to the clinical practice of occupational therapy. The six (6) contact hours related to clinical practice shall be live face-to-face training i.e., no internet training, video training, television training, etc. Of the remaining required 14 hours of training, 50 percent or 7 hours may be non live face-to-face training. Non live training may include home study courses, video, internet, etc. All training shall be from approved sources. |
CE for Specialty: Pharmacy | 10 hours of continuing education must be completed by December 31 of each year. Home study must be approved by the board. ACPE-approved courses for Pharmacy Technicians end in the letter “T”. ACPE-approved courses pharmacists (only) end in the letter “P”. Courses ending in the letter “P” cannot be used to meet pharmacy technician CE requirements. |

At least 25 percent (6 Contact Hours or .6 CEUs) of the required continuing education must be directly related to the clinical practice of physical therapy. Effective July 1, 2012, physical therapist and physical therapist assistants can take no more than 12 contact hours or 1.2 CEUs of required continuing education online. All licensees must take two hours of board-approved programs in ethics/professional responsibility as part of their total CE requirements. CE hours claimed as clinical may need to be reviewed if considered questionable. |

CE for Specialty: Social Work | Renewal: forty (40) hours social work continuing education. Four (4) hours of approved professional ethics. Two (2) hours of cultural diversity/multicultural issues/cultural competency. Twenty (20) hours of home study permitted. Ten continuing education hours may be carried over from one renewal to the next. The continuing education hours must have been obtained within the six months immediately prior to the current renewal date.
