CE for Specialty: Athletic Training No continuing education is required. However, registrations shall be renewed, upon the payment of a renewal fee, triennially not earlier than ninety days before June 30th.
CE for Specialty: Audiology/SLP There are no continuing education requirements.
CE for Specialty: Dietetics/Nutrition There is no continuing education requirement.
CE for Specialty: Emergency Medical Services Hawaii has a two year licensure period. CE Requirements for EMTs and Paramedics EMT Basic: 48 hours                                                                           EMT-Paramedic: 48 hours
CE for Specialty: Laboratory Technology There are no Continuing Education requirements.
CE for Specialty: Massage Therapy There are no Continuing Education requirements. Licenses must be renewed every 2 years. The license renewal date is June 30 in each even numbered year. (e.g.; June 30th, 2012.)
CE for Specialty: Medicine and Surgery CE: 40 Contact Hours must be completed if licensee received their license in Hawaii prior to July 1st, 2008.  20 Contact Hours must be completed if licensee received their license in Hawaii between July 1st, 2008 and June 30th, 2009. For initial renewal: 20 hours are required for renewal. Beginning with the 2012 renewal and thereafter, 40 hours will be required. Medical (Physician, Podiatrist, Physician Assistant, EMT-B, EMT-P) licenses must be renewed biennially on January 31st every even numbered year. (2014, 2016 etc.) Osteopathic licenses must be renewed on June 30th every even numbered year. (2014, 2016, etc.)
CE for Specialty: Occupational Therapy CE Requirements: No continuing education requirement.
CE for Specialty: Pharmacy 30 hours of pharmacy continuing education must be completed by December 31 of odd numbered years. Home study must by approved by the board. Courses approved by the ACPE or continuing medical education (“CME”) courses that serve to improve patient safety and to maintain quality national standards in the prevention of medical errors. ACPE-approved courses for Pharmacy Technicians end in the letter “T”. ACPE-approved courses pharmacists (only) end in the letter “P”.  Courses ending in the letter “P” cannot be used to meet pharmacy technician CE requirements.
CE for Specialty: Pharmacy Technician No continuing education is required.
CE for Specialty: Physical Therapy CE Requirements: There is no continuing education requirement.
CE for Specialty: Psychology There are no continuing education requirements. Licenses must bew renewed biennially on or before June 30th of each even numbered year. (i.e.: 2014; 2016)
CE for Specialty: Radiology Technology Radiologic Technologist/ Radiography/ Nuclear Medicine/ Radiation Therapy: 24 hours of CE or have met the ARST requirements. Renewal happens every two years.
CE for Specialty: Respiratory Therapy There is no continuing education requirement.  
CE for Specialty: Social Work 15 hours of continuing education must be completed each renewal period. The renewal period is a triennial period beginning on July 1st and ending on June 30th three years later. Beginning July 1st, 2016 and thereafter, licensees must complete a minimum of 45 hours of continuing education during each renewal period.
