Program Summary
This course qualifies as the 8-hour initial training requirement set by the NYC Article 175 of the Health Code for those individuals who operate fluoroscopy equipment in fluoroscopically guided interventional (FGI) procedures. This course is divided into multiple modules so that it may be taken in multiple sittings. Objectives include introducing the current standards and regulations (TJC, NYC, etc) governing FGI use, understanding the basic physics and biological effects of radiation, and reinforcing fluoroscopy safety practices for staff and patients.
