Program Summary
The title of this program is new advances assessing and managing patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, and those who frequently experience exacerbations. This is the most common scenario a clinician faces today after the diagnosis of COPD has been made. The initial assessment and management of patients with stable COPD, and she also stressed the importance of continued education for how to use inhaler devices. In the second module goals and the treatment options for those patients experiencing frequent COPD exacerbations. During this PBL module, we'll be discussing the newly updated GOLD guidelines, as well as asking you, the viewer, questions regarding COPD management.
