Program Summary
This course will provide the government-required HIPAA training for any staff who have access to Protected Health Information (PHI). It is appropriate for both Covered Entities and Business Associates in the Mental Health field.
Upon completion of the course students will be able to:

- Describe the specific components of the HIPAA Privacy Rule
- Describe the specific components of the HIPAA Security Rule
- Define the roles and responsibilities of Business Associates and the necessity of a Business Associate Agreement
- List additional regulations for compliance that providers must follow
